Established in 2005, the Robert S. Folsom Leadership Award is presented by the Methodist Health System Foundation to recognize individuals whose demonstrated commitment and excellence in community leadership emulate the achievements of former Dallas mayor Robert S. Folsom.

Created in 2018, the Eagle Society is a membership organization that supports the Methodist Health System Foundation. Through "friend-raising" events, the Eagle Society will reunite the Methodist family, including current and retired physicians, current and past health system senior leaders and board members, past Robert S. Folsom Leadership Award recipients, and friends of Methodist.
