Methodist Hospitals of Dallas Guild

A model on the runway at a recent Style Show

Founded in 1932, the Methodist Hospitals of Dallas Guild has a rich history. Guild membership is made up of community leaders from throughout the Dallas and Fort Worth area. The only criterion for membership is an interest in supporting Methodist Health System and a commitment to involvement.

To date, the Guild has raised more than $1,000,000 to fund a wide variety of services, equipment, and expansion of Methodist Health System. Among the projects supported by the Guild; a room in the Emergency Tower, a mobile mammography unit, expansion of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Golden Cross Academic Clinic, as well as annual college scholarships for Junior Volunteers at Methodist Dallas and Methodist Charlton Medical Centers. The Guild raises these funds through our annual Spring Style Show and Luncheon, and jewelry, book, and electronic fairs held at the hospitals.

The group's fundraisers, which include book fairs, electronics sales, jewelry sales and its annual style show, aim to welcome the community into the hospital. "When you invite people who might not otherwise be there for a book sale or style show, it showcases what a fine organization this is," says Guild member Olivette Hubler. "It makes them aware of the hospital and of all the doctors that are here. And it's nice to give back."
