Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Plans On-site Hiring

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is taking another step to improve the economy in Mansfield by conducting a career fair February 12 from 3-7 p.m. in the Methodist Mansfield café at the hospital. During the career fair, Methodist Mansfield’s Human Resources Director Judy Laister will be accepting resumes and pairing applicants with hiring managers to do on-site interviews that may lead to offers of employment at the fair. The hospital is hiring registered nurses interested in working in the operating room, intensive care unit, emergency, and medical-surgical areas, as well as certified surgical technicians, physical therapists and radiology technicians.

career“We are looking for qualified candidates in nursing, physical medicine, radiology, and OR and urge those interested to come out, apply, and potentially be offered employment at the fair” says John Phillips, FACHE, president of Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. “This is a wonderful opportunity for registered nurses and certified technicians in our community to come and work for an outstanding hospital, chosen by the Dallas Business Journal as a Best Place to Work for 11consecutive years.”

Methodist Mansfield is an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Pathway to Excellence® hospital, accredited Cycle IV Chest Pain Center by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care, Advanced Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission and more. The hospital, part of Methodist Health System, is located at 2700 E. Broad Street in Mansfield, Texas. Mansfield is ranked among Money Magazine’s Best Places to Live 2014. The magazine attributed Mansfield’s proximity to Dallas and Fort Worth, small town tranquility, high-ranking school district, and growing health care as reasons it chose Mansfield.

Methodist Mansfield is growing and construction of a new 118-bed patient care tower is taking place concurrently with day-to-day hospital operations and being integrated with existing infrastructure. Scheduled to open in winter 2015, the hospital will bring 200 new jobs to Mansfield in the future.

The patient care tower will expand Methodist Mansfield’s cardiology care with minimally invasive surgery, minimally invasive catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, expanded outpatient cardiopulmonary testing and rehabilitation, and additional inpatient rooms. The tower will also house a dedicated inpatient stroke unit, expanded inpatient dialysis services, a 14-bed intensive care unit, two new surgical suites dedicated to minimally invasive robotic surgery with the robotic da Vinci® Surgical System, and four gastroenterology suites. The laboratory, pharmacy, sterile processing, information technology, food services, two-story atrium lobby and community room will round out the ancillary services and amenities.

For a career that you can pour your heart and soul into, don’t miss out. Register for the career fair by calling 682-622-2077.
