Methodist Mansfield Medical Center's Marcus Jackson Chosen for Texas Hospital Association Leadership Fellows Program

news articleMarcus Jackson, RRT, FACHE, Director of Cardiopulmonary and Respiratory Services at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center has been selected to participate in the highly competitive Texas Hospital Association Leadership Fellows Program. Mr. Jackson joins 24 other healthcare leaders in Texas for a year-long study in becoming effective health care advocates for Texas Hospitals and developing in-depth knowledge on health care integration.

Marcus Jackson is a 21-year veteran of the health care industry and part of the original leadership team at Methodist Mansfield which opened in 2006. He is responsible for Respiratory Therapy, Cath Lab and Non-Invasive Cardiology with more than 50 staff members at the 168-bed acute care hospital. He also chairs the hospital’s leadership development steering committee and is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. In 2014 he chaired the hospital system’s employee giving campaign raising $482,251 for the Methodist Foundation and United Way agencies, an 18 percent increase from the previous year.

The THA Leadership Fellows program is designed to grow leaders and equip them to lead community health policy discussions, guide integrations of the latest trends in health care strategy and create an environment that enables the best possible patient care outcomes. Curriculum includes presentations from a diverse group of health care experts with varying perspectives as well as open, active dialogue and debate.
