First Methodist Urgent Care Grand Opening

This is an exciting season of new beginnings at Methodist Health System. Last Saturday marked the grand opening of Methodist Health System's first Urgent Care! Several hundred members of the community, physicians, and staff all joined together at the new facility to celebrate with free food and family fun. Methodist Richardson Medical Center President Ken Hutchenrider Jr, FACHE, helped cut the ceremonial ribbon, and noted that the Urgent Care will provide a valuable service in the area. "Methodist Urgent Care represents our continued investment in the Richardson community and furthers our commitment to provide compassionate and quality care", said Hutchenrider.

The new MHS Urgent Care serves as a fantastic solution for patients needing medical attention during or after traditional clinical hours, yet co-pays and wait times are generally less than most emergency rooms. The new facility is a joint venture between Methodist Health System and TeamHealth.

Injuries and medical issues always seem to happen at the most inconvenient times. To solve this issue, the new MHS Urgent Care is open 365 days a year, Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., and Saturday - Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. The best part is no appointment is necessary! Most insurance plans are accepted, and doctors and staff can treat a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including sprains, fractures, and respiratory issues.
