Methodist Health System Hires News Veterans to PR / Marketing Team

Dallas – Methodist Health System is bringing more than 30 years of news experience to its PR and Marketing teams, with the additions of Calvert Collins and Jan Arrant.

news articleCalvert Collins will be joining the team on July 27 as PR Manager for Methodist Health System. Collins has been a nightside reporter at Fox-4 since 2012, and she previously worked as a reporter in Las Vegas and Omaha. Collins will oversee public relations efforts for the four main Methodist campuses in Dallas, Richardson, Mansfield and Charlton. Collins says, “I’ve always been passionate about health care. I’m excited to use my journalism skills while pursuing a new career in the health care industry.”

news articleIn late June, Methodist Health System hired Jan Arrant as the Director of Community and Public Relations for Methodist Richardson Medical Center. Arrant worked as a producer at WFAA for 12 years. Arrant was the executive producer for Texas Cable News. She also oversaw election night coverage and served as field producer. Arrant says, “Richardson is growing exponentially and so is the health care industry. I’m looking forward to use my skills as a communicator to help people live healthier lives.”
