Methodist Mansfield Opens New Nature Trail; Launches Move 125
Mansfield – The Methodist Mansfield Medical Center encourages residents to take advantage of the new “Health Is in Our Nature” trail partnership at Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park. The new trail partnership is a part of Methodist Mansfield’s “Pathways to Health” and invites citizens to enjoy the Oliver Nature Park with health in mind. Residents are invited to the opening to walk the trail this Monday, June 15, where Methodist Mansfield will challenge them to exercise more this summer.
Methodist Mansfield President John Phillips will join city and park officials to commemorate the trail opening and announce Move 125, which will invite citizens to stay healthy and walk 125 miles either at a park trail or Methodist Mansfield’s hospital trail in celebration of Mansfield’s 125th birthday. Citizens are asked to walk a mile a day and log 125 miles by Nov. 20, 2015 to be considered for individual, family and/or business recognition at Hometown Holidays. Citizens can download the log book from the link below. This celebration will encourage the community to join in and celebrate the city’s birthday and become more active to improve one’s health.
“At Methodist Mansfield, health is in our nature,” says President John Phillips. “We are excited to offer Mansfield residents a chance to make health a part of their nature as well.”
