Methodist Health System is Designated a Health Champion

American Diabetes Association Recognizes MHS for its dedication to keeping its employees healthy

Methodist Health System continues to be recognized nationally for its efforts to keep employees healthy. Each year, the American Diabetes Association takes applications for companies with 10 or more employees who make strides in nutrition and weight management, physical activity, and provide organizational well-being. Those who meet all the criteria are named Health Champions.

appleThe American Diabetes Association and Methodist Health System understand a healthy and happy workforce is a more productive and tenured one. The Health Champion Designation distinguishes companies and organizations that inspire and encourage a culture of wellness.

Methodist’s focus on fitness and health continues to get recognized. In 2015 alone, Healthiest Employers LLC ranked Methodist #3 in the Healthiest 100 out of 14,000 applicants nationwide, Dallas Business Journalnamed Methodist one of the Healthiest Employers in North Texas, and the American Heart Association named Methodist a Platinum-Level Fit-Friendly Worksite.

“We are committed to making the lives of our 7600 employees the best they can be and we’re thrilled other organizations are recognizing and applauding that commitment,” says Carrie Camin, Assistant Vice President Wellness for Methodist Health System. “Compassionate, quality care will always be our number one priority, but we want to make sure our employees know how much their health and wellness means to us as a company.”
