Methodist Health System's Stephen L. Mansfield named Distinguished Business Leader of the Year by TAB
Stephen L. Mansfield, Ph.D., FACHE has been recognized by his peers in
the Dallas business community as a top leader. Since joining Methodist
Health System as President and CEO in 2006, Dr. Mansfield has overseen
tremendous growth providing critical health care options to North Texas
families and adding thousands of jobs.
With a mission to improve and save lives through compassionate, quality health care, Methodist is one of the fastest growing health systems – tripling in size over the past eight years, and being cited in 2012 by Modern Healthcare as one of America’s 40 Fastest Growing healthcare companies in the nation. For the past four years, Dallas Business Journal has named Methodist as one of the Healthiest Employers. Earlier this year, Methodist received the distinguished Texas Award for Performance Excellence (TAPE) from the Quality Texas Foundation. North Texas community. He is the Immediate Past-Chairman of the Dallas
Regional Chamber, was recognized by
D Magazine as Healthcare Executive of the Year in 2014 and included as a “Top
Newsmaker to Watch for 2013” by
Dallas Business Journal. In 2012, he was awarded “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst
& Young and in 2009, was selected as “Outstanding Volunteer
Fundraiser” by the March of Dimes.
Texas Association of Business Immediate Past State Chair Dale Young presented Dr. Mansfield with the honor on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Dallas Museum of Art in front of more than one hundred business leaders.
Dr. Mansfield thanked the organization and his team, and spoke about the collaboration with the state and other healthcare systems to provide quality care to all Texans.
