Alexander Medical Pavilion opens in Mansfield

More than 300 community leaders celebrated the opening of the multi-care facility

MANSFIELD – It was an afternoon of celebration as the ribbon was cut on the new Alexander Medical Pavilion at 2975 E. Broad Street. Gary Alexander, MD, president of GKA Estates Holdings; John Phillips; President of Methodist Mansfield Medical Center; Robert LaDouceur, Regional Vice President of Methodist Center for Diagnostic Imaging; Mansfield Mayor Pro Tem Larry Broseh; and Todd Simmons, chair-elect of the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce opened the new multi-care facility on Wednesday, Feb. 22 in Mansfield.

The 15,000 square foot medical facility is a $3.9 million investment for the Mansfield community. Off icing with Gary Alexander in Surgical Associates of Mansfield on the second floor are Jeremy Parcells, MD, and David Rutledge, MD.

The anchor tenant on the first floor is Methodist Center for Diagnostic Imaging providing convenient access to high-quality imaging exams along with the first high-field open MRI in the community.
“The high-field open MRI is one of the most advanced open MRI systems with magnet strength and image quality comparable to traditional high-field units, says medical director of the center,” says radiologist David Leifer, MD, medical director of the center.

As an open scanner with 270 degrees of unobstructed views, patients can easily see out of the machine making an exam easier for those who are claustrophobic. The center also offers low-dose CT, ultrasound and X-ray providing physicians the diagnostic information and answers they need to provide the best care possible.

“As an outpatient imaging partner, Methodist CDI in Mansfield is able to deliver high quality and cost-effective medical imaging care for our patients with fast, convenient service,” says Methodist Mansfield President John Phillips, FACHE. “We are excited to have an entity affiliated with Methodist offering outpatient imaging services in the Mansfield service area.”
The contractor, Fry Construction Company of Carrollton, built the 5,598 square feet $2.6 million dollar Methodist Center for Diagnostic Imaging Center featuring warm décor, brightly colored artwork, and large patient care rooms.
The Alexander Medical Pavilion contractor was Four Corners Building Company, along with architect Tom Taylor and architects and designers from Linear associates.
