Methodist Mansfield President chosen education ambassador
Methodist Mansfield Medical Center’s President John Phillips, FACHE, was honored as Education Ambassador of the Year by Mansfield ISD. The award recognizes a member of the community who goes above and beyond to promote Mansfield ISD, actively support district initiatives, and consistently demonstrates exemplary performance and dedicated service to Mansfield ISD. The award is designed to motivate, recognize, and reward the people who serve as the district’s ambassadors to parents, students, and the community.
John helped lead the 2017 Mansfield ISD bond campaign, is actively involved in Mansfield ISD school leadership seminars, and serves on the board of directors for the Mansfield ISD Education Foundation and Mansfield Economic Development Corporation to name a few.
“This award represents the dedication and hard work shown by John Phillips and all of the employees and physicians who are role models for Methodist Health System and the community,” Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Pamela Stoyanoff MBA, FACHE, says. “We are honored that Mansfield ISD has chosen John for his hard work, his compassion and his dedication to serve and care for others.”
Under Phillips’ leadership, Methodist Mansfield consistently earns ‘A’ ratings on The Leapfrog’s’ Group Safety Score and top ratings on the HCAHPS ratings of patient satisfaction. Under Phillips’ guidance, the hospital has earned Disease Specific Certification by the Joint Commission for stroke and chest pain and the Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Silver Award from TMF Health Quality Institute for improving outcomes in patient care and specific national quality measures.
Methodist Health System, of which Methodist Mansfield is a part, was named one of the Top 10 Best Places to Work by the Dallas Business Journal 14 years in a row, listed among the top 150 Best Places to Work in healthcare by Becker’s Hospital Review, and for five consecutive years recognized as a Platinum-Level Fit-Friendly Worksite by the American Heart Association.
Phillips earned a MBA from Hardin-Simmons University and a Master of Health Care Administration from Trinity University.
