Methodist recognized for its commitment to working with minority suppliers
The DFW Minority Supplier Development Council gave Methodist Health System the Buy Those That Buy Us™ Best Practice Award for demonstrating a commitment to work with minority suppliers. This is the 6th year in a row that Methodist has received this award. Jan Lea, SVP of Supply Chain for Methodist, says this year the health system was recognized for the work it does with RAM Surgical.
“They provide excellent services and products, and our patronage has enabled them to grow as a company,” she says. “It’s been a successful business relationship for both of us.”
Methodist’s partnership with RAM Surgical has enabled the supplier to open up a distribution center in Duncanville, TX, offer competitive prices, and create both full- and part-time positions that will focus on the increased volume of work from Methodist hospital campuses.
Methodist AVP of Supply Chain Aaron Holt accepted the award from Bonnie Clinton of Toyota North America, and Margo Posey, president of the DFW Minority Supplier Development Council, at an event held on April 26.
