Methodist Drive-Up Testing Center Doubles Daily Capacity
Dallas, TX—Responding to the demand for additional COVID-19 testing, Methodist Health System is doubling the testing capacity of its dedicated drive-up testing center across from Methodist Charlton Medical Center. While hundreds of tests have been performed at this Wheatland Road location since mid-May, there is clearly a need for more. Methodist believes that need is urgent, due to an increase in the rate of COVID-positive cases in the populations across Dallas County.
“Methodist has been committed to serving the southern sector of Dallas for more than 92 years, with two hospitals in the region,” says Methodist Health System CEO Jim Scoggin. “We see it as part of our mission to offer more tests for patients who need them at this critical time.”
Effective Tuesday, June 23, Methodist is also adjusting the hours of operation to 8 a.m. to noon to better meet demand. Anyone seeking a COVID-19 test must have an appointment and meet testing criteria. Please call 214-933-8811 to see if you qualify for a test.
