Medical Library at Methodist Dallas Medical Center
Residents in the Methodist Health System Graduate Medical Education program can obtain scholarly evidence-based bio-medical information through the Charles C. Tandy Learning Resource Center for Graduate Medical Education, which is located on the fifth floor of the East Building of the Methodist Dallas Medical Center campus.
The Library offers access to books, journals, electronic resources and clinical tools including:
- Exam Master – test prep tool for USMLE and Board Exams for resident physicians
- Gideon (Global Infectious Disease and Epidemiology Network) – provides current, evidence-based resources for diagnosis, treatment and teaching in the fields of tropical and infectious diseases, epidemiology and microbiology worldwide
- MDConsult – a resource that brings together medical books, journals, clinics, drug info, and images to help physicians efficiently find answers to clinical questions
- ProceduresConsult – reference tool that provides physicians details on how to prepare for, perform, and follow up on the most common clinical procedures required in today's hospital setting
- PubMed MEDLINE – the National Library of Medicine's medical literature search engine
- UpToDate – clinical question and answer tool for physicians
