Expectant moms simply expect the best for their baby's birthday. And as a physician recruiter, few people can rival Heather Gardner's knack for choosing and delivering the very best that health care has to offer. Upon establishing roots in nearby Ennis, Mrs. Gardner set out to find her next qualified candidate. Only this time it wasn't a job hopeful, but rather her little one's perfect birthplace.

"During my second pregnancy, I lost our daughter in the last trimester," Mrs. Gardner shares. "It made my husband and I realize just how fragile human life can be. When I got pregnant again, I was considered high risk, so we wanted expert care."

"Methodist Mansfield was my choice, and they helped me get the very best start," she says. Mrs. Gardner gave birth to Grant Wade, a beautiful, healthy, 6-pound, 12-ounce baby boy.

"Nothing can match the blissful first moment of holding your newborn son," Mrs. Gardner shines. "I had a wonderful experience at Methodist Mansfield. The private room was very comfortable for my family, and my husband stayed overnight on the pull-out couch. The lactation staff was very helpful. And the food was good.

"I will always remember the nurses who treated my son as if he were their very own. I would hope that all new moms could experience this kind of care."
