The cancer program at Methodist Richardson is overseen by a cancer committee charged with:
- Monitoring the quality of care that cancer patients receive
- Organizing complex process for delivering care
- Reviewing clinical programs, community outreach, and key initiatives
- Ensuring the team is meeting the highest standards set forth by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
An integral part of the cancer program, the cancer registry tracks important data for all cancers diagnosed and treated at Methodist Richardson. It provides assistance with program development, review of treatment outcomes to ensure compliance with national quality standards, as well as assistance with the ultimate goal of preventing and controlling cancer.
