Our spacious LDR suites feature:

  • Warm décor
  • High-speed, wireless Internet access
  • Refrigerators
  • All private rooms

If you need a Cesarean section (C-section) or other surgical procedure, Methodist Richardson has two operating rooms located within our unit, so you can have peace of mind knowing that advanced technology is just a few steps away.

A lactation consultant and a breastfeeding educator are also available to answer breastfeeding questions and offer assistance during your stay.

Family-Centered Approach to Childbirth

The first few days after the birth of your baby are so important.

To give you and your baby all the time you want to form that special bond, Methodist Richardson encourages you to keep your newborn in your room with you as much as possible.

You determine how much time you want to spend together. If you feel you need uninterrupted rest, the staff will care for your baby in the nursery, allowing you to wake up refreshed and ready to spend quality time with your new baby.

Postpartum Support Group
Methodist Richardson hosts a monthly support group for mothers and families coping with postpartum depression. It’s a safe place to be heard and learn that you are not alone. This group meets the 4th Wednesday of each month in Methodist Richardson Medical Center.
