Interventional Cardiology Services

At Methodist Charlton Medical Center's Heart Failure Clinic, we’re proud to have available the only full-service interventional cardiology services in Southern Dallas County. Our two cardiac catheterization labs feature a leading-edge, all-digital cardiovascular imaging system and help expand the range of advanced cardiac diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation services available at Methodist Charlton.

Diagnostic and interventional cardiology services available at Methodist Charlton Medical Center include:

  • Open heart surgery
  • Cardiac catheterization
  • Electrophysiology
  • Implantable defibrillators
  • Impella Heart Pump technology
  • STEMI program (ST-segment elevated myocardial infarction)
  • Transradial­ percutaneous ­coronary ­intervention ­(TR-PCI)– treating blockages in the heart through an incision in the wrist

All beds at Methodist Charlton are dedicated to telemetry for heart monitoring. With the completion of the hospital expansion and the opening of the new bed tower at Methodist Charlton, an operating room specially designed for heart surgery is part of the new surgery suite
