Healing After Loss: Bereavement Support at Methodist Charlton

If you’ve lost a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or infant death, you may feel that no one understands what you’re going through. Although your feelings and experience are unique, talking with other people who have experienced similar losses can help.

Support groups and counseling are available through Methodist Charlton’s bereavement services. We can answer your questions, help with difficult decisions and, perhaps most important, simply listen.

Bereavement Support Group

Our bereavement support group meets from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. The meeting is in conference room 1 on the second floor of the Outpatient Center. No fees or registration are required.

Garden of Angels

You may also find comfort in our Garden of Angels, a courtyard at Methodist Charlton set aside for reflection and remembrance after the loss of an infant. Loved ones can purchase engraved bricks, which are placed in the garden in the child’s memory. The Garden of Angels is always open, any time of day or night.

Parents, family members, friends, and loved ones can purchase engraved bricks for $50. These bricks are then placed in the garden in memory of the children.
