Methodist Charlton has been recognized by Aetna for excellent infant safety and earned official recognition for the Early Elective Infant Safety Program. This designation is awarded to hospitals that have established rigorous safety procedure for performing elective deliveries prior to the 39 week mark. We have also been awarded the Texas Department State of Health Services Ten Step Hospital designation for encouraging breastfeeding and providing ample resources to help new mothers learn how to breastfeed.
