Cancer Registry

Reporting and Teaching About Cancer

National and state registries help cancer doctors and researchers track trends in who is getting cancer, which cancer treatments are working best, and what factors can help prevent cancer. Methodist Health System contributes to this cause by collecting data on the progress of our cancer patients. All patient information is blinded and aggregate to protect patient privacy and then reported to the National Cancer Database and Texas Cancer Registry.

Methodist Health System also conducts almost 75 tumor boards each year, in which a group of physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals review cancer cases and discuss treatment approaches.
