The Weight Management Program at Methodist Dallas Medical Center offers an all-encompassing approach to weight loss that ensures patients have ongoing support and medical follow-up whether they opt for a non-surgical approach to weight loss or weight-loss surgery.

Just like bariatric surgery, endobariatric procedures are tools to help achieve weight loss and improve overall health and require no abdominal incisions. These procedures are performed using an endoscope, which is a flexible tube with a light, a camera, and tiny surgical instruments attached to access a person’s stomach and digestive tract via the mouth and throat. Methodist Dallas Medical Center has excellent patient outcomes and safety records, and the affiliated surgeons have extensive experience performing a large number of successful robotic surgeries. As a result, Methodist Dallas is an Intuitive Robotic Teaching Epicenter for bariatric surgery, designated by da Vinci® technology representative Intuitive Surgical. To be designated as an epicenter means that surgeons within a specific medical specialty serve as robotic surgery trainers and mentors to other doctors seeking to learn robotic surgery.
