Post-COVID Cardiac Evaluation at Methodist Dallas
Post-COVID syndrome causes a range of symptoms that can resemble chronic fatigue syndrome. While the full extent of cardiac complications is unknown, some patients have persistent cardiovascular symptoms after COVID-19.
If left undiagnosed, cardiac conditions can have a profound effect on a person’s future quality of life. That’s why post-COVID cardiac evaluation is now recommended for some patients.
When cardiac evaluation is needed
Any patient with cardiac symptoms that are not resolving after 30 days of COVID-19 infection should have an evaluation.
